Assertive Mentoring

Homework always completed and in on time = green

1 unreturned homework per ½ term = yellow

2 or more unreturned homeworks per ½ term = red

 

Literacy/Topic homework will be given on a Thursday/Friday and is due in the Monday of the following week.

 

  • If you give your completed literacy/topic homework in on the correct day (Monday) then you will receive a smiley.

  • If you bring your literacy/topic homework in late (Tuesday) then you will get a homework late mark.

  • If your literacy/topic homework is not handed in by Tuesday morning (at the latest) then you will be kept in Tuesday lunchtime to do the homework and you will get an unreturned homework mark which will be recorded on your assertive mentoring record.

 

Numeracy homework will be given on a Monday and is due in the Thursday of the same week. All children have a numeracy homework book that is levelled according their results in a mental maths test and is therefore aimed at their ability.  Please  encourage your child to attempt all questions and stress that they MUST NOT use a calculator.

 

  • If you give your completed maths homework in on the correct day (Thursday) then you will receive a smiley.

  • If you bring your maths homework in late (Friday) then you will get a homework late mark.

  • If your maths homework is not handed in by Friday morning (at the latest) then you will be kept in Friday lunchtime to do the homework and you will get an unreturned homework mark which will be recorded on your assertive mentoring record.

 

Mathletics homework will be given on a weekly bases.  It will be set on Friday and should be completed by the following Monday.

 

Homework Projects

Over the year the children may be given extended homework projects (usually over the holiday period) and will have longer to complete these.
