Maths

We have been using different equipment to show different numbers. This has helped us when ordering numbers and when we are looking at adding numbers together. IT has also helped show us the different numbers in coin amounts.
We used Tarsias to help us with our addition, subtraction, multiplication and division  skills. It was super hard!
In maths we have also looked at balancing number sentences, we did this practically and this helped us to understand that the scales had to be balanced.

We have been learning to roundup and down to the nearest ten and to the nearest hundred. Some of us found this quite tricky because we had to remember that if a number ends in 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9, we must round up!

We have been ordering  numbers that are both consecutive and non consecutive. We did this using penguins and ordering them by weight and height!
In maths, we have been looking at ten more and ten less, as well as one hundred more and one hundred less. We play lots of games to make sure we are keeping learning fun and practical!
