Industrial Action – School closure on Tuesday 14 October 2014
As you may be aware from recent media coverage a number of trade unions, the NUT, UNISON, GMB and UNITE have called for a day of strike action across England and Wales which is due to take place on Tuesday 14 October 2014.
As a result we have received notification that some staff in our school will be taking part in strike action on Tuesday 14 October 2014.
Having carefully reviewed the implications of the strike on our staffing levels, we have taken the decision to close the school to pupils on Tuesday 14 October, 2014. Parents are therefore asked to make alternative arrangements on this day and pupils should NOT report to school.
I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The school will re-open as normal on Wednesday 15 October, 2014.
