Grab that Gap
In partnership with Edge Hill University and Knowsley Safari Park, Year 5 have had the amazing opportunity to look at their local environment and consider how small gaps can be used efficiently to encourage the growth of wild flowers and attract wildlife. They produced 'seed bombs' in school which we've rolled into the grounds and are eagerly awaiting their growth in late summer. Following on from this, they were invited to work on an identified piece of unused land at Knowsley Safari park and transform it into a beautiful wild garden, complete with bug houses and home-made bunting. They are the first class of children to ever complete a project like this at the Safari Park and if you visit it in the future you will see our wonderful wild garden just next to the entrance. Mrs Hudson was so proud of the hard work and cooperation of her Y5 Grab the Gap Pioneers!
