Spring Term

Curriculum Overview

This term we will be exploring the topic of Bears to fit in with our Power of Reading book that we will be exploring. This is 'The Everywhere Bear' by Julia Donaldson.

Spring Term Homework Challenge

World Book Day

The children really enjoyed dressing up as Roald Dahl characters so a big thank you to all the parents and carers who sorted their costumes. The children were also able to go into the hall to see all the new Roald Dahl displays that Miss Withey, Mr Dixon and all the children and staff helped to create.

Stay and Play

A big thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to attend the stay and play session . The children really enjoyed having parents and carers to play with and even made sure they put aprons and bibs on if needed! Don't worry if you were unable to attend, we will hold another session later in the year.

Autumn Term

The children had lots of fun making Christmas things and learning about the story of Christmas. A big thank you to all those parents and carers who helped the children do any of the homework for the last half-term. A new homework sheet will be sent out in January and we look forward to seeing even more homework brought in!

Children in Need

We all had a fantastic time learning a dance with Miss Gilchrist for Children in Need and everybody joined in. All the children looked wonderful in their accessories and Pudsey ears!

A big well done to all those children who completed some of the homework challenges. We had some fantastic hedgehog models as well as photo's, drawings and other things! Miss Withey, Mrs Lyons and Mrs Murphy were very impressed!

We will be looking at the topics of Ourselves, Autumn and Christmas for the rest of the term and our Author of the term is Tony Ross.
