    Eastcroft Park Garden

    Parents/Carers

    We Need Your Help!

    Dear Parents/Carers,

    We need your help to transform an area of the playground into a Community Garden.

    The Community Garden will provide the opportunity for children and families to grow vegetables, fruit and herbs and provide a valuable teaching area to learn about plants and wild life.

    We would like to create a garden to be enjoyed by all members of the community, providing fresh produce and other plants and flowers. We hope that the garden will encourage a sense of community, promote well being and provide opportunities to learn new skills.

    The Garden will include;

    • Raised garden beds for planting fruits and vegetables.
    • A herb garden
    • A flower garden
    • A Wildflower area
    • A pergola to provide a frame for climbing plants, shade and a seating area
    • A garden shed and small greenhouse
    • Bug houses
    • Bird feeding and nesting areas

    There is quite a lot of work to be done and poor old Jimmy would like some help. If you would like to get involved, initially to clear and prepare the site, please call into the office or contact the school by telephone or email.

    Many thanks,

    Miss Withey
