  • Home learning work through Seesaw

Sat 28 Mar 2020 Mr Youngman
As it is likely that your child(ren) will have finished the work from their home learning pack, future work will be added via Seesaw. To access this your child(ren) will need access to the 'Seesaw class' app (or app.seesaw.me website) and their individual seesaw home leaning login sheet. If you did not get your child's home learning pack where this was contained, you will need to email school homelearning@eastcroftpark.co.uk confirming the full name, class and DOB for your child & I will email it out to you.
  • Key worker childcare places

Fri 27 Mar 2020 Mr Youngman

As we have limited staff available at this time and all office staff are currently working from home, please be advised that we are unable to respond to telephone enquiries. If you need to contact the school please do so via email, eastcroftpark.de@knowsley.gov.uk or Parent Apps. We aim to respond to your enquiries as quickly as possible.

If you are a key worker and we currently have you on our register for emergency childcare please make sure you keep us up to date of any changes that take place to the schedule you have provided.

If your enquiry relates to a new request for emergency child care for Key Workers please ensure that your request is made by 4.30 pm the day before child care is required (Monday-Friday). This enables the school to provide adequate staffing for the next day to ensure the safety of children and staff and appropriate social distancing can be applied.

May I remind you that the emergency child care for Key Workers should be used as a last resort.

All families that may require additional support during this time have been provided with an  emergency contact number and the contacts for a range of services.

  • School closure info 20/3/20

Fri 20 Mar 2020 Mr Youngman

    Dear Parents and Carers

Further to the letter sent yesterday please see the information below for all parents and carers and those parents who fit into the key worker category.

This letter outlines further arrangements for the school on Monday for those who may be able to access provision. Can I stress this provision will not be the normal school curriculum.

    Information for ALL parents

If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading. Government guidance has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

The fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.

Please also follow these key principles:

    1. If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be.
    2. If a child needs specialist support, is vulnerable or has a parent who is a critical worker, then educational provision will be available for them.
    3. Parents should not rely for childcare upon those who are advised to be in the stringent social distancing category such as grandparents, friends, or family members with underlying conditions.
    4. Parents should also do everything they can to ensure children are not mixing socially in a way which can continue to spread the virus. They should observe the same social distancing principles as adults.

    Vulnerable children

The school will continue to provide care for a limited number of children. Parents and carers will be contacted individually if this is the case.

    Information for key workers

The government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

If your work is critical to the COVID-19 response, or you work in one of the critical sectors listed below, and you cannot keep your child safe at home then your children will be prioritised for education provision.

If you wish to receive this provision please collect a registration form from the school office.

You then need to accompany your child to school on Monday from 8.30am with the completed form. You will then need to complete the registration process. You may be asked for proof of your role eg identity badge etc. Children must not be sent to school on Monday unaccompanied.

    Details of Key workers

Please see the link below for further detail in order to check if you fall into a key worker category – and absolutely need your child to attend school.
