Dear Parent(s)/Carer,

This is a reminder that the school will be hosting Sports Day on the following dates:

Key Stage 1: Thursday 2nd July. 
Key Stage 2: Wednesday 1st July. 

Both Sports Days will take place in the afternoon with a start time of 1:30 PM. We ask that all children attend school wearing their full school PE kit on these dates. Parents are welcome to attend.

Dear Parents and Carers, 

Forecasts indicate that tomorrow’s temperatures are expected to be extremely high. Eastcroft Park will remain OPEN, but the safety and wellbeing of pupils and staff is our highest priority. Arrangements in School Tomorrow

 • Indoor and shaded activities — All outdoor lessons and breaktimes will take place indoors or in shaded areas. 

• Air Conditioning-Classes will be timetabled to access air-conditioned areas. 

• No PE or strenuous activity — Physical activities will be cancelled to avoid overheating. 

• Regular hydration — Children will be encouraged to drink frequently. Please ensure they bring a named water bottle. Cold refills will be available from the drinks dispenser in the hall. 

• Ventilated classrooms — Rooms will be kept as cool as possible with ventilation, blinds lowered and fans. 

• Relaxed uniform expectations — lightweight, pale-coloured clothing is recommended; pupils may wear plain PE shorts and T-Shirts or their PE kit. (normal safeguarding rules on footwear and jewellery still apply)

Due to the forecast of extremely high temperatures we have taken the decision to cancel all after-school clubs this week. Hopefully, clubs will not be affected for the final two weeks of clubs for the weeks commencing the 29th June & 6th July.
