Wildflower walks on the wild side

Do you know your buttercups from your bluebells – and do you know which wildflowers are best for attracting local wildlife?

Then why not join Knowsley’s Green Space Rangers ‘Wildflower Walks for Wildlife’ at Court Hey Park, Huyton, Mill Dam Park, Kirkby, Halewood Park and Stadt Moers Park, Whiston during Garden Wildlife Week – 31 May to 6 June.

To join the fun all you have to do is take a picture of the sheet listing all of the flowers on the notice board at the park entrance, and then begin your search to match them with the wildflowers along the way.

There will be cards giving information about the sorts of wildlife attracted by the flowers alongside each plant. This will provide lots of information to anyone wishing to learn about the sorts of plants to grow in their own space to attract local wildlife.
